Who We Are
Sri Lanka Karting Circuit, Bandaragama is owned and operated by David Pieris Racing & Leisure (Pvt) Ltd which is a duly incorporated company in Sri Lanka under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 as Amended. It is primarily focused on bridging the gap and ever-growing demand for activity based leisure and thrill seekers both local and foreign, whilst serving the very special market segment of sports tourism.
We are a world renowned karting circuit in Bandaragama, 30km from Colombo. Sri Lanka Karting Circuit is the only activity based leisure and entertainment destination of its kind in the Country, which provides a world class experience for families, corporates and race enthusiasts. It is developed to the highest global standards with prime focus on quality, comfort, safety and service .
History
Sri Lanka Karting Circuit, marked a humble yet remarkable beginning of a long journey by inaugurating Sri Lanka's first and only purpose built karting circuit in year 2013 according to the vision of Mr David Pieris who is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a very passionate motor racer and motor sport enthusiast. It was his dream to see Sri Lanka emerge on the world map in motor racing one day and he was very ambitious to make this a reality.
In 2018 the dream came true with the inauguration of Sri Lanka's first FIA-CIK homologated international standard karting track and we made history by hosting Sri Lanka's first ever international race event the inaugural race for the world renowned IAME X30 Asia Cup. The track was immediately recognized as Asia's finest karting track by experts around the world who participated in the X30 Asia Cup held in January 2018. Since then Sri Lanka Karting Circuit continues to serve its customers with a world class experience, a promise that is never meant to be broken.
